On behalf of our Sustainability community we like to invite you for this unique company visit into the world of sustainable fashion:
Today, about 90 million tonnes of textile waste are being generated and disposed of annually. Only less than 1% of it is being upcycled. The amount of textile waste is expected to grow to over 134 million tonnes by 2030. Join us on a visit to RGE-NTU Sustainable Textile Research Centre (RGE-NTU SusTex), to find out how this state-of-the-art research centre is working on different end-of-life solutions for fashion textiles. RGE, the world’s largest viscose producer, and NTU Singapore partnered on innovation in textile recycling technology to address this global problem. RGE-NTU SusTex, is part of a US$200 million commitment to next-generation textile fibre innovation and technology collaborative partnership.
